What an unusual surname! - just discovered this enigmatic character via his railway travels - this time on the orient express. He certainly is flamboyant. did a little research and discovered his past history which is somewhat scant. But born of mixed parentage who were from Guyana.

He describes himself as "British rainbow child, of the Commonwealth, from the land six races and many waters"

how delightful. For some strange reason he has never graced the airways much in OZ which is disappointing as he is one of the earths 'larger than life' characters!

Never heard of him. The above is from his own website. Is he just blowing his own trumpet?

A lot of self agrandissement there, I believe.

Two self written and old articles doesn't make "a popular British TV chef with a career spanning over 25 years and numerous hit television shows under his belt."

I think you've been misled into believing that this person is known here.

J.Phang

I don't buy comics, and in any case I too have never heard of him,and am not likely to as we don't watch cookery programmes,we prefer to watch grass growing.

Yes. Me!

Bradfordian and proud of it. (although I refer to the years before its colonisation by the foreign hordes. )

It is now sometimes very difficult  to determine which country you are in. I moved out in 1953. My parents and one of my sisters followed suite some years later. The other sister lives as far out of Bradford as it is possible to get without actually entering Halifax.
