Our redcurrant bush is giving us a good crop this year. It is the first year that I've nurtured it and doing so has paid off:

That looks a healthy plant Mart and a good little crop. Made my mouth water.

I've never had much success at growing fruit and mainly do container growing. I wonder if they'd manage in a pot.

The plant has been in the ground a number of years but this is the first that it's been tied up to the fence. It was just left to lie on the ground on previous years, underneath the raspberry plants.

We had a blackcurrant bush as well but it didn't survive an attack from a mad Jack Russel Terrier that our daughter used to have. The dog ate or chewed the whole bush to bits.
