WE differ - so it follows that I don't understand ?
Ever wonder if the boot just might be on the other foot ?

Not going to get into a pissing contest about which of us knows more about Australian history - although I'm pretty bloody sure I'd be safe  smile

As for the techno-stuff, so what ?
One can use a big "I" or a little "i" with a biro, a pencil a keyboard - or a "thumbnail dipped in tar"

Steady on you jokers! Remember East-West vernacular variations. You two are even further apart than me and Australia! No wonder you can't understand each other.  yes

Dead right, Ciderman.
Poor old Davo seems obsessed with minutiae. I'll capitalize "indigenous" if he really insists.
It is of little consequence when there are far, far more serious issues which actually impact on their welll-being.

Also, he seems to have some strange, sarky attitude to those from the state of Queensland.
I reckon people are people - and I don't give a rat's which part of the continent they hail from.

Equally strange is the repeated references to a nut-job state-premier we had 30 years ago !?

It was claimed that JFK is reputed to have cribbed that phrase from his school head teacher

His speech actually included the phrases

" And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country".

and

"My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man".

Davo, henceforth I might be a bit more inclined to engage with you if you drop the silly language

" y'aint doin it for me ya doin if for ya country
anyways digger since when 'ave wez been using english grammar - this is OZ mate were wez throw another prawn on the barbie - you got a roo loose at the top of the paddock??
or been droppin ya cigars in the surf at bondi beach?? "

I don't mind that it makes you look nuts - but it does your country a disservice if others think that normal Australians  converse in such a way.

Here ya go Davo and Pumice. Take yer mind off it!
The Dying Bushman.

Oh I'm just a worn out bushman,
me chopping days are o'er
I'll soon be over on that other shore.
For the rimu and the rata
have got so mighty tough
I just can't seem to chop 'em any more.

My slasher is all rusty, axe-handle it is broke
I've hung them up behind the whare door
For the rimu and the rata
have got so mighty tough
I just can't seem to chop 'em any more.

In all the West Coast bush
there was none could chop like me
And I long again to hear the felling's roar
But the rimu and the rata
have got so mighty tough
I just can't seem to chop 'em any more
.

thanks DMs but do not concern yorself Pummie and I have clashed swords on several occasions elsewhere he is just a tired old Queenie man having drunk too much sugar can juice over the years!

the Queensland politics is in a terrible state at the moment - they can't decide whether they want to be liberal or labor - maybe One Nation would suit them better ?

Pummie on here I am a four star general you only two - step in line buddy! angry
